Quiet ‘instagrammable’ places to visit

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to my blog!

Today I am going to be sharing with you my top 5 locations to visit that are super instagrammable – but also quiet! After lockdown and quarantine, I am sure that the last place we want to go to is somewhere where we are in close proximity with other people and find that we are unable to social-distance, so I have put this list together of some really under-rated locations that are remote but also beautiful!

5) Norway

There are so many places in Norway that you should definitely go and see! Although I have never been, I have gathered that you can experience close up encounters with icebergs, glaciers, polar bears, seals and so much more! An extremely remote but stunning place to go in Norway is Svalbard! It is very quiet there all year round, yet also incredibly instagrammable and full of some amazing scenic views and an abundance of wildlife.

4) Iceland

Iceland has a population of approximately 352,000 people, meaning there are no excuses for not social distancing! Additionally, it boasts beautiful glaciers and waterfalls, similarly to Norway! I was lucky enough to go a few years ago and I loved it! My highlight had to be the ‘Blue Lagoon’ which is incredible! Iceland’s largest glacier lies in the East of this beautiful country, where one can explore the caves and hike. The whole country is instagrammable and there are areas which are so remote that of course you won’t have to queue for the photo spot!

3) Chile

Chile is a beautiful country which is also quite quiet! Easter Island is particularly remote as it is 8,438 km away from Toronto and over 13,000 km from London! Although widely known and treasured, Easter Island is still incredibly remote. There are amazing sculptures, caves and mountains to see and explore there.

2) Slovenia

I think Slovenia is a stunning country in Europe which is often unfortunately under-rated. Lake Bled provides panoramic photo opportunities and is incredibly secluded! Home to one of the most picturesque lakes in Europe, boats and beautiful castles, this country will be sure to charm you.

And my number one is:

Lapland

Finnish Lapland is the place to go If you are hoping for a quiet and tranquil holiday location, but also somewhere that you can get amazing shots!

The Northern Lights are any Instagram-lover’s dream and truly a one in a lifetime opportunity, Finnish Lapland offers up to 200 nights a year when you can see this amazing phenomenon and April-August are the best months to go to see the Northern Lights when it’s not too cold and there are plenty of activities to do while there!

Thank you for reading! I hope you found this blog helpful and have discovered some new places to go and explore!
